CHECKLIST FOR LOGISTIC PLANERS IN STABILITY AND SUPPORT OPERATION

Summary/Abstract: In present days the stability and support operation are a core part of power projection, with different degree of complexity and difficulty. Military planers play a key role to develop a realistic deployment plan so that they must be involved earlier as possible. The using of transportation assets in an optimal manner will reduce the logistic footprint, costs and risks. Troop contributing nations must considerate the scarcity of strategic sealift or airlift assets available in certain period of time and from this reason must use the civilian contractors and have it in place agreements concluded before.
