Summary/Abstract: On 6 October 1998, the “Tomcsa Sándor” Theatre opened in Odorheiu Secuiesc with the premiere of Zsigmond Móricz’s play I Can’t Live Without Music. Róbert Dunkler and Kata László have been members of the company that celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary almost from the beginning, and in this interview they talk about the early days. The municipal theatre was founded almost from nothing, with borrowed scenery and costumes bought from a thrift shop. The initial difficulties were overcome by the newly recruited company only thanks to the enthusiasm and determination of the theatre makers and the need for theatre on the part of the audience.
