Summary/Abstract: Purpose – Hotels, which provide significant employment within the scope of accommodation facilities, have various difficulties as they include jobs that require intense tempo and labor with their unique working conditions. In this context, the opinions of the employees in the hotel sector, which has seasonality, working with an entree, and high employee turnover rate, on the quality of work life gain importance. In line with these explanations, the aim of the research is to determine the dimensions of the work life quality of hotel employees. Design/methodology/approach – Qualitative research approach was preferred as the research method. Within the scope of the relevant literature, semi-structured interviews were conducted with a total of 20 people, including animation, housekeeping, front office, kitchen, service department employees, who interact with customers, considering the relationship with customers, which is also considered as the dimension of work life quality. After the interviews were completed, a focus group interview was conducted with a group of 6 people. Findings – The obtained data were analyzed by content analysis. When the data obtained from the research were analyzed, 10 dimensions and 24 themes were obtained within the scope of work life quality. Within the scope of work life quality, dimensions of human resources management, job characteristics, all-inclusive system, organizational problems, work group relations, relations with customers, occupational stress, work-life balance, unionization and general problems were revealed. Discussion – In this study, which was conducted on the sample of employees from four different departments (animation, housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage services) in hotel businesses, the dimensions that affect the quality of work life of the employees are mentioned. In the research, the results of the fact that the quality of work life of the animation department employees is higher than the employees in other departments stands out as a matter that should be considered in terms of hotel businesses.
