Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the advent in the presentation of cultural and historical heritage by using augmented reality (AR) technology. The use cases are given on the examples of mobile applications realized as electronic multimedia guides for various cultural institutions in Serbia. Then, a classification of the AR software is proposed based on their usage in the given examples.
