Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the development is to present the role of trade union organizations in the police services of the Republic of Bulgaria. The essence of trade unionism, its models and types is clarified. The role of the European Council of Police Trade Unions (CESP), the European Police Union (EPU) and the Bulgarian trade union organizations in protecting the social and insurance rights of police officers is examined.
