Summary/Abstract: The author comes up with an idea for analysis of Reduta Ordona in the context of placing Mickiewicz in the curricula of the pre-reform primary school, gimnazjum (junior high-school)an finally in the present reformed primary school. Approving the decision to put the piece in the reformed curriculum of primary school, the author tries to demonstrate undoubtable andeverlasting value of one of the best world’s battle poems and the on-going lesson of patriotism. The main motive of the work is determined by strong belief that the very text is worth learning by heart by every primary school student - preferably as a whole.
