Summary/Abstract: The 5th International Scientific Conference on Private Law was held from April 17 to 19, 2024, organized by the Faculty of Law at the University of Jozef Šafárik in Košice. The conference, titled "Private Law in the Digital Era,"focused on the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on traditional civil law institutions, both substantive and procedural. Keynote speakers included Professor Petr Vojčík, Professor Miroslav Štrkolec, and Dr. Ivan Fiačan. Notable presentations covered topics such as the possibilities and limits of digitalization in civil procedural law, automation in civil court decision-making, and the Digital Services Act's role in combating disinformation. The event also featured discussions on the protection of minors in the digital space, the implementation of digitalization in judicial cooperation within the EU, and the effects of digitalization on the legal order of the EU and Slovakia. The conference concluded with a plenary discussion and evaluation of the presented contributions.
