Summary/Abstract: "A multitude of political and socioeconomic situations laid the groundwork for the intensifying conflict between Jews and Arabs in Israel. Historians and anthropologists agree that the causes for the situation were complex and included: Jewish immigration, economic relationships in the Arab community, various effects of the British mandate, internal politics on all sides, and world politics. However, there is a level of imbalance to the treatment of Jewish internal politics in relation to the Arabs during the yishuv period that has come from being viewed through the skewed lens of present politics.
