Summary/Abstract: The article explains the origins of the open e-learning course, whose author, Bożena Bednarek-Michalska, who died on May 5, 2022, was an outstanding librarian associated with the University Library in Toruń. The text discusses the content of the course and mechanisms aimed at verifying knowledge. In addition, it contains recommendations regarding the design of effective e-learning training and, at the same time, signals the need for specialistic care over this open educational resource.
