Summary/Abstract: The documentation of the ‘50s, which inserted the Albanian literature in the course of Soc-Realism, besides other things, is presented through archival facts, which are stored in the Archive of the Institute of Linguistics and Literature (Tirana). Among them, some manuscripts draw attention, as they are dealing with issues of directive and political order, which replaced the aesthetic criteria and typologies of historiography with the class affiliation and ideological beliefs of the writers of those times. These documents are part of the 806 File, which contains recordings, valuable annotations, decisions, information and reviews for study, which make understandable the dominant spirit of the time and the opposing voices around it. The materials provide data on model issues in the design of a “Standard model” or a “Monograph” on the history of Albanian literature, its periodization and literary process. Of particular interest are the documents that contain the criteria that were followed on the admission or exclusion of some personalities of Albanian literature from historiography. Part of it is the formulation for the replacement of aesthetic pluralism with the role and functions that the new literature for the formation of the masses took, taming it into an instrument of “ideo-aesthetic” and “ethical moral” modelling of political formation. The documents shed light on, not only to the path followed by the arrival of the terminology “socialist realism”, but also its methodology of how to reach it. In those documents, some attempts are made to prove that although unsuccessful, the process towards compiling this historiographical text of 1956 was not monolithic. It represents an early, perhaps last stage between attempts to have a more complete picture of the history of Albanian literature, shortly before ideological purges and the exclusion of other aesthetics, different and opposite from that of Socialist Realism.
