Summary/Abstract: The article deals with a number of important factors: author – publisher – reader – translator, etc., which determine the state and peculiarities of the entry of modern post-colonial Ukrainian literature into the global processes of cultural dialogue. It has been noted that the rapprochement and mutual enrichment of different cultures will be productive only when it is based on mutual interest, on the acceptance of another culture, that is, on conscious mutual enrichment. A number of problems that complicate the entry of post- totalitarian literature into the global cultural environment is also identifi ed. Thus, for example, it is emphasized that such a relevant issue for national European literatures in a globalized world as the preservation of identity is much more difficult for post-colonial literature, in which the processes of overcoming the complexes imposed by the colonizer, demythologizing stereotypes, as well as finding and affirming one’s own identity are taking place.
