Summary/Abstract: The study is devoted to the analysis of Tamara Hundorova’s work "Lesya Ukrainka. The Sibylline books" in the context of contemporary Ukrainian discourse of disability studies. The important idea of the publication is the formative influence of the disease on Lesia Ukrainka’s lifestyle, her household organization, the artwork process, and her relationships with other people. The book is structured into seven parts, each of which focuses on a specific topic related to the facts of the writer’s life, her relationships with the loved ones, or her most significant works. The reviewed study examines the condition of the disease in relation to the phenomenon of creativity, in the context of the problem of the position of female writers in the patriarchal society of the past fin de siècle.
