Summary/Abstract: The accordion is one of the musical instruments that in the 20th century experienced an unprecedented technical improvement, asserting itself with great success in all musical genres and especially in academic music, in which it excels through numerous innovative execution techniques, achieved both through the contribution of great performers but also some composers who signed original works for this instrument. The authors of the article propose a presentation and analysis of some important innovative procedures in the art of accordion interpretation - ricochet, tremolo, shake, pulsation, untempered glissando, multiple hits, air button, specific techniques for the use of registers - based on their own interpretative experience made from perspectives theoretical research of an academic repertoire of reference, which will be exemplified, in the present article, by the suite Five paintings of the Gulag (1995) by Victor Vlasov, composers, teacher, important representative of the Russian accordion school.
