Summary/Abstract: Throughout history, people have had to change their places of residence for certain reasons. Thus, the situation of moving to a different place from the current location has revealed the concept of migration. This study aims to analyze the socio-economic variables affecting the migration in Türkiye between 2008 and 2013 with multidimensional panel data models. Estimates were made with three-dimensional model, which was obtained by considering the province, region and time units. Fixed effects and random effects estimators were obtained with necessary transformations and the appropriate model was decided by Hausman test. In the study in which the random effects estimator was effective, the variables of employment rate, the number of doctors per thousand people and the number of hospitals were statistically significant and their signs were in the expected direction. On the basis of these results, socio-economic variables that affect the migration between provinces may be important among the developed migration policies.
