Summary/Abstract: This article intends to explore some new paths of research on the Albanian epic song. Starting from archive materials of the Milman Parry Collection of Oral Literature (henceforth MPCOL) preserved at Harvard University, and the issues that they suggest for further investigation on the field, it will focus on some structural and rhythmical elements of the songs linked to their performance.
