Summary/Abstract: Th e author attempted to verify the opinions of historiography (especially the latest suggestion by JanTęgowski) on the alleged Orthodox baptism of Jogaila, the Grand Duke of Lithuania. An analysisof the sources has unequivocally shown that the future king of Poland was baptised in Krakow in1386 as a pagan.
