Summary/Abstract: The Ottoman-Russian War is a period of comprehensive conflict that took place in 1877-1878 and is recorded in historical sources as the "War of 93" because it coincides with the year 1293 according to the Greek calendar. The Turks left their mark on the struggle in Pleven, which was besieged by the Russians in July-December 1877, and caused a heroic story to be written. The developments that caused great struggles in both countries had a great impact in the German press, as in other foreign press. Allgemeine Newspaper, Germany's leading political and cultural publication, followed this historical process closely and especially reflected the effects of the Battle of Pleven on the German press in detail. In this context, critical events such as the general situation in the Balkans, the strategic position of the Russian and Ottoman armies, the strategies adopted and the results of Pleven were examined in an in-depth chronological order and discussed in detail. In this article, by evaluating the news on the subject in the Allgemeine Newspaper, the Germans' perspectives on the subject have been tried to be analyzed using the single-induction method.
