Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to analyze the Pan-European Pension Product (PEPP) onthe Polish market in comparison to other third-pillar pension products, with particular emphasison the Individual Pension Account (IPA). The author begins her considerations bydemonstrating the validity of the development of the third pillar in the face of demographicchanges taking place in Europe, which cause the inefficiency of pay-as-you-go pension systems.Next, it checks profitability the competitiveness of third-pillar pension products compared toother financial products and reviews the similarities and differences between PEPP and IPAaccounts. In the last part, the author examines the profitability of selected financial productspackaged in PEPP and IPA accounts and presents conclusions and recommendations.
