Summary/Abstract: The issue of innovation and sustainable development is an important and topical research problem. It refers to defining the conditions for the development of a sustainable enterprise and the importance of the types of innovations involved in this process, with a particular emphasis on the new forms of innovation, such as open innovations, social innovations and ecological innovations. A sustainable enterprise is one that pursues the goals of sustainable development. It strives for balance in each of its subsystems and its relations with the environment. It is an enterprise that is capable of setting goals within the context of sustainable development and achieving them using its available resources in a competitive environment. The issue under discussion falls within the category of complex and still insufficiently researched areas. The purpose of this study is to identify new forms of innovation and assess their impact on an organization’s path toward sustainable development. The study is based on a comprehensive review of relevant literature and selected findings from secondary research.
