Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to draw attention to some protagonists polemics displayed in the Albanian cultural-literary press after restoring freedom of thought and expression. In a selective way, we will recall some of the prominent cases of controversy about literary-cultural issues, not to approach the model that they bring, but to maintain critical, distant attitudes to the benefit of a morality and acceptable intellectual methodology. It is generally noticed that the nihilistic modes of cultural writing like these in the cultural-literary periodics such as “Word”, “Ars”, “Milosao” are not found in the Albanian cultural press of tradition in the first half of the 20th century The analyses of this cultural- literary discourse based on the most controversial issues proves the similarity with the discourse paradigms of the first half of the 20th century in Albania, the same accussation strategy not based on facts and language models dominating the world of art and letters during this period with a few exceptions only. It is concluded that lack of specialised periodicals for poets, novelists, singers, composers, playwriters, and literary critics was the main cause why lack of values dominated the public discourse on culture and literature.
