Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present an approach to the evaluation of determinants of knowledge-based economy and identify the trends in the evolution of the concept. Determinants evaluation is important for the integration of innovations in the industry, improvement of human capital management and formulation of targeted sustainable development policies. The results presented in this paper are related to a research project on the topic “Entry of the Bulgarian enterprises in the knowledge-based economy – modern aspects and challenges” with incoming number: NI-4-2022.
