Summary/Abstract: The research aims to analyze the grounds for claims of linguistic sexism in close connection with the related concept of feminism, in a broad cognitive, psycholinguistic and cultural context. Paremies from the two Slavic languages (Polish and Bulgarian) play the role of illustrative material for the presented theses. The main conclusion, which opens up a beneficial perspective on intersex relations, is that if a woman feels undervalued, discriminated against and humiliated, before attributing all the sins to „androcentrism”, she should look at herself and try to change what is necessary to be changed.
