Summary/Abstract: Antichrist (2009), an experimental horror film written and directed by Lars von Trier, tells the story of a couple trying to overcome the trauma after losing their child. As the title of the movie suggests, Antichrist (2009) refers to Nietzsche’s work of the same title. Not only the trauma of this couple is depicted with both the narration, the metaphors and symbols applied in the film, but also Christian morality is also criticized. The method used to analyse the existence of a common association between two or more texts in a text in other texts prioritizes the interaction between different texts on the axis of intertextual analysis. Considering the horizontal axis (subject-addressee) and vertical axis (text-context) elements in the intertextual method introduced by Julia Kristeva, the relationship between man and woman forming the axis of the film, Nietzsche’s criticisms of Christian morality and Franz Kafka’s Kafkaesque style of writing were taken into consideration. Thus, within the scope of the Kafkaesque concept, which is produced by referring to the writing style of the Prague writer Franz Kafka, Nietzsche’s work entitled Antichrist are included in the research.
