Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the fact that the proof of God is based on “being” in the “metaphysical tradition.” For example, the greatest philosopher of Islamic philosophy in the classical period, Ibn Sīnā, based his proof of God on the apprehension of "being as being" and stated that only a select group of individuals called "siddiqīn" could comprehend it. The metaphysician who advanced this proof one step further by establishing the doctrine of the unity of being is Ibn Arabī. Mulla Sadrā, on the other hand, brought the evidence to a systematic and advanced form with his competent explanations about existence. In the study, Mulla Sadrā's proof of God is comprehensively and holistically discussed based on the foundation of being. The subheadings of the article are based on Mulla Sadrā's work "Mefātihu'l-gayb" (The Keys to the Unseen). In this work, he has made the existence in the sense that exist, “three substances that consisting of intellect, soul and body” and accident, as evidence for the existence of God. We can also include the perfect form of existence, the “insan-ı kāmil” (the Perfect Man), among these entities. Although Mulla Sadrā does not examine the mental forms of existence as a separate topic, he includes narratives on ontological and possibility proofs. Therefore, we decided to examine these two under separate headings.
