Summary/Abstract: This article aims to conceptualize contemporary models of intimacy in adolescence in their Bulgarian context, as well as intimate relationships from the adolescents’ perspective. A key case study is used as the main methodological tool to outline the perspective of a narrative on the contemporary forms of intimacy among young people and their cultural specificities. The relationship between the understanding of intimacy and the construction of the individual as a specific „Western“ form of personality and subjectivity is highlighted, and three possible analytical frameworks are proposed – the multiple adolescent, the countercultural or postmodern adolescent, the narcissistic adolescent.
