Summary/Abstract: This article looks at hegemonic masculinities and the attempt to deconstruct them, or at least to critically examine their constitutive foundations in French-speaking Moroccan literature. This deconstruction, visible in the lives of certain characters, engages a new relationship with gender and its perception in a society governed by norms that value patriarchy and consolidate heteronormativity as the sole matrix of intelligibility of bodies and their hierarchization in the social field.
