Summary/Abstract: The article presents one of the aspects of the process of transformation and adaptation of NATO to the security environment after the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation in 2014 – the conceptual development of the Alliance's military instrument of power in the context of future confrontation. It examines the major strategic documents newly adopted in this period, focusing on NATO Warfighting Capstone Concept and its impact on some perceptions of Alliance collective defence.
