Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between training effectiveness in organizations and work motivation among employees in public and private organizations. The study included 87 participants grouped on the basis of nationality, age, gender, educational level, work experience and field of activity. Two questionnaires were used: one to assess training effectiveness and the other on work motivation, divided into 7 motivational factors - job content, working conditions, career development, pay and benefits, relationship with management, work process and feedback and relationship with colleagues, and intrinsic motivation. The results of the study show that general motivation and its components are related to training effectiveness. Policies are recommended in the organization to enhance work motivation through training and coaching and as this will contribute to work engagement, organizational effectiveness and overall company performance.
