Establishing a Snail Farm as a Business Development Project

Summary/Abstract: In all European countries, snail farming is recognized as an official agricultural business and has legislative support and regulation, as well as serious financial support, thanks to which the sector is progressively developing and forming a relatively large gross domestic product. Breeding and rearing of snails is a dynamically developing branch of agriculture. In much of Europe and the world, cultivated snail viewing has been developed for years. Bulgaria is one of the few countries that has extremely good soil and climatic conditions for growing snails. An important advantage is the presence of lactic acid bacteria Lactobacilli, producing high levels of lactic acid.
