Guidelines for the development of an Orthodox liturgical redaction of the polish Psalter

Summary/Abstract: The article presents methodological assumptions regarding work on the translation and editing of the Polish Orthodox liturgical Psalterfor the confessional needs of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church. Focusing on the needs related to the selection of sources andliterature for text verification, it also presents the interdependence of Orthodox hymnography and the texts of the Holy Scripture. Asa result, a set of necessary activities in editorial work was presented, which can be used not only when working on the Psalter, but can behelpful when editing other liturgical books.
