Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the ethical considerations within the teachingprofession as explored in the scholarly endeavors of Professor An-drzej Michał de Tchorzewski. His publications notably examine therealm of values, obligations, and moral competencies inherent in therole of a teacher. These ethical categories can be considered ru-dimentary in discussions surrounding teacher ethics, as they signifi-cantly determine the nature of teachers’ professional engagementand influence the efficacy of pedagogical practices across variouseducational contexts. The purpose of this discussion is to elucidatethe axiological, deontological, and aretological dimensions of theteaching profession as conceptualized in de Tchorzewski’s pedeuto-logical work. An analysis of de Tchorzewski contributions reveals a profound concernfor the ethical underpinnings of teachers’ professional endeavors, whichis of vital importance in an ever-evolving and unpredictable education-al landscape. Considering de Tchorzewski’s extensive body of ethicaland pedeutological scholarship, the reflections presented herein serveas a modest prolegomenon to his broader corpus of work.
