Summary/Abstract: This article discusses a topic within the history of education, focusingon the role of teachers in aviation education in Poland from 1918to 1939. Using a qualitative analysis of historical sources—such asjournals, official documents, publications, and archival materials—the study characterizes teachers’ involvement in aviation educationduring this period. Aviation was considered one of the most impor-tant areas for the development of modern states, and as such, theentire society was expected to contribute to its advancement. Avia-tion was also a field for pedagogical work and the achievement ofeducational goals. Teachers, as a distinct social group, were activelyencouraged by aviation activists and members of the Airborne andAnti-Gas Defense League to participate in the objectives of aviationeducation. The majority of the teaching community became involvedin this effort by incorporating aviation topics into their school lessonsand by supporting aviation organizations. Thanks to their activities, aviation education had a chance to reach a broad youth audienceand, through them, their families and local communities, thereby pro-moting aviation throughout society and uniting it under the slogan ofa “Strong Winged Poland.”
