Summary/Abstract: With the development of civilization over the years, consumers’ interest in the use of various kitchen appliances that facilitate and speed up the preparation of dishes in the home kitchen is growing. The aim of the study was to conduct a survey on equipping households in Poland with appliances for preparing meals. The study was conducted from January to April 2023 in a group of 770 adult respondents in Poland. The analysis was carried out among respondents diverse in terms of gender, age, and place of residence. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the most popular kitchen appliances among the respondents were: blenders and mixers, electric ovens, microwave ovens, toasters, and coffee makers. Important features of using kitchen appliances for the respondents are the ease of use and their cost, as well as time savings, ease of cleaning, and device size. Respondents mostly prepare meals at home, and these are mainly women who say that they try to cook as well as possible; therefore, women spend the most time preparing meals. Most of the participants declared the ability to cook, which was related to education and the people with whom they live. Respondents acquired culinary skills primarily from family members, parents, and grandparents. The place of residence had no significant influence on the respondents’ culinary skills as well as on the kitchen equipment they had in their home kitchens.
