Summary/Abstract: Fear management process is one of the most successful political strategies, used mostly by populist’s parties what is really helpful in uniting the electorate. The main goal of this article is to identify the mythologised portrait of the enemies of Jaroslaw Kaczynski during his political career. Main emphasis is placed on two portraits, first of all on his criticism of the post-solidarity elites, which he began to identify with the Civic Platform party members. Then smolensk catastrophy apart of it’s changing factors on the local po- litical scene, led to the mythologization and sacralization of its victims. Main issue of this second part of the article is answering the question whether in the context of the catastro- phe, we can talk about the birth of a political myth.
