Summary/Abstract: It has been briefly mentioned int he preceding part that following the Vienna Decision in 1940, the Romanian university that left Cluj-Napoca planned to return to the city, and in their plans, there was no place for a similarly profiled and missioned Hungarian-language university, especially in light of the fact that they intended to use the same infrastructure. Rector Iuliu Hațieganu himself was convinced on August 30 that they would return and take possession of the assets of the Cluj university according to inventory. Shortly after the Soviet occupation of Cluj-Napoca, they indeed appeared in the city and tried to assert their interests with a determined approach.
