The place and role of the public service of gambling in the Romanian legal system

Summary/Abstract: Gambling activity is a branch of the economy, with connotations and actions specific to human entertainment and with extensive ramifications for all areas of economic and social life. Its regulation in the Romanian legal system creates the premises for the applicability of a public service according to the Administrative Code, which gives greater accuracy and response to the legal needs of the population directly or indirectly affected by it. In the proposed sense, we reveal the importance of identifying the place and role of gambling in the global and particular gearing of the public service carried out for and to the advantage of the citizen.
