Summary/Abstract: The introduction of remote work in Poland from 2023 has precisely defined the rulesfor this form of employment. Prior to this date, remote work was mainly a responseto the COVID-19 pandemic and was regulated in the March 2020 law, leavingimperfections. The 2023 legislation brought clarity, allowing employees to do it atlocations they designate themselves or on the basis of an employer’s instructionin emergency situations.Challenges remain, such as adjusting the size of remote work to accommodatedifferent employee situations. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the educationsystem, particularly remote learning, offering flexibility and cost savings, but theeffectiveness of this form of education may depend on adjustments to students’ needs.Introducing remote learning for academics is not an easy undertaking. Remotelearning must take into account data protection, risk analysis and adaptation ofmeasures to these risks. Modern learning requires adaptation to changing conditions, so it is important to adapt regulations and procedures to new realities.
