Summary/Abstract: The search skills are important in the information society to solve specific intellectual tasks in satisfying information needs that masters by studying the methods of information heuristics. The benefits of modern web resources are enormous, because through their information functionality can be planned relevant search strategy, defined as a systematic plan for conducting a search in several stages: fully understanding the query/topic; identifying the major concepts/project specification (the keywords and phrases, synonyms and related terms); creating the search statement using unification algorithms (truncation, masking, wildcards; Boolean logic; contextual grammar; search for meta data (bibliographic elements) of record; start, evaluation and storage of search results). In conclusion are put discussion questions about the education of information literacy through the establishment of information heuristics as university discipline.
