Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to a critical analysis the role of archaeological exhibitions in Bulgariain the XXI century and their adaptation to the needs of modern society. The difficulties in creating museum content at a time when public attitudes towards archeology vary between uncritical admiration and extreme skepticism are highlighted. The main focus is on the present-day meaning and use of archaeological displays, offering an alternative view beyond the traditional admiration of artefacts. The traditional perception of archaeological exhibitions as treasure troves serving only as a boost for national self-esteem, as well as a large part of the practices aimed at bringing them to life, are called into question. The author examines the need for a change in strategies for creating museum content related to archeology to make it truly accessible and inclusive to the public. Based on an analytical deconstruction of the challenges faced by the archaeological exhibitions in Bulgaria and a discussion on the weaknesses of the current museum practice, the article offers a possible perspective for moving to a more inclusive, engaging and socially impactful content of the archaeological expositions in the country.at critical analysis of the role of archaeological exhibitions in Bulgaria in
