Summary/Abstract: The article examines two complex problems in German historiography – anti-Semitism and Pan-Germanism. In the research, their interrelationship is traced, by putting it in a philosophical concept. The ideas of the formation of German nationalism are considered. An in-depth look at the understanding of anti-Semitism in Hegel's philosophy and the Hegelians is taken. It is here that the initial stage of the philosophical concept between Pan-Germanism and anti-Semitism can be traced. The ideas of the Theosophists and Ariosophists complete this ideological period in German anti-Semitism and its relationship with the ideas of the Pan-Germans. Subsequently, these links were completed by the militant anti-Semitism of the Nazis. An interesting comparative analysis is made between the elements of Russian anti-Semitism and the anti-Semitism of the National Socialists This is achieved by comparing the "Nuremberg Laws" with the "May Rules" and the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" with Adolf Hitler's "My Struggle". The connection between past and present is made through the contemporary situation in Germany. All this leads to the conclusion that anti-Semitism and pan-Germanism are strongly interrelated in the development of political processes in Germany.
