Summary/Abstract: The article presents in a comparative plan the information on the formation of the Bulgarian revival nation in the textbooks for secondary schools, issued in Bulgaria in the period 1993 – 2019. It examines problematic issues related to the structuring of the lessons in the section „History of Bulgaria – Bulgarian Revival“. The changes in the terms „nation“, „national idea“, „national identity“ have been traced.
