The Academic opera theater of AMDFA „Prof. Asen Diamandiev“ as an educational and creative environment for professional development

Summary/Abstract: The report focuses at the process of learning students in the Academic Opera Theater (AOT) of the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts „Prof. Asen Diamandiev“ – Plovdiv. The topic was developed as a result of the students‘ achievements in the realization of opera productions and their participation in projects of the Academy. In the following lines, the role of AOT as an interactive educational and artistic environment is presented. The text does not aim to follow the process of realization of a specific performance, rather to present in general the main components of the functioning of the AOT in pedagogical, educational and artistic aspects. Emphasis is placed on the importance of teamwork as a mandatory element in the education of students in their development as artists on the music scene
