Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes film music that serves a creative function in Roman Polański’s horror films Rosemary’s Baby, The Tenant, and The Ninth Gate. It examines how music, including leitmotifs, diegetic and non-diegetic music, influences the narrative and atmosphere of the films. It emphasizes that music not only accompanies the visuals but primarily intensifies the drama and sense of unease, serving as a key element in creating the audiovisual experience.
