Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to reconstruct the meaning of identity of the users of Metaverse dating applications. The analysis of their communication is embedded in the postmodern theories of Zygmunt Bauman and Anthony Giddens. The conclusions presented in the article are based on critical discourse analysis, which used texts taken from the websites of the aforementioned platforms as research material. The study shows that identity appears in them mainly in the context of constructing it on a visual level and manifesting it through an avatar. An additional important aspect influencing it is the virtual implementation of lifestyles and established relationships.
