Gajret association in Stolac 1921-1941

Summary/Abstract: This work describes the activities of the Gajret association in Stolac, during the period of the two world wars. It is important for this work to emphasise that it is based on the original archival documentation stored in the Archive of Bosnia and Hercegovina in Sarajevo. It explains the begining of Gajret's activities, the problems with which it meets, and the members' activities. What is especially interesting are the numeral records from the meetings, the activities of members, founders, benefactors, the names of the activists and scholarship holders of Gajret. This work has tried to revive the memory of those dedicated persons who didn't regret the time spent nor the effort made to achieve their goals.
