Summary/Abstract: Sacred oratory was always connected to the reality of its time. Even more so when it came to the one preached in the Royal Chapel of the Austrias. And it was during the regency of Mariana of Austria that the political instability and factional fighting that followed the disputes between the regent and the illegitimate prince Juan José of Austria took on an even more passionate tone. Those ten years were marked by a war in the form of sermons, with real preachers who positioned themselves on one side or the other and tried to influence the evolution of events. All this is intended to demonstrate the importance and significant role that the classroom oratory came to play in high politics.
