Prevention of risky behaviours in adolescents

Summary/Abstract: Developing effective preventive strategies regarding risky behaviours amongadolescents is becoming increasingly important due to such behaviours becoming so-cially problematic. The article begins by identifying key threats, such as substance abuse,unhealthy eating habits, excessive use of new technologies, and risky sexual behaviours,which can lead to serious health, social, and emotional consequences. The aim of thearticle is to highlight the significance of prevention in the context of these behavioursand to present various approaches and tools that can be utilized for effective prevention.Through the analysis of social and health contexts, the article emphasizes the impact ofsocietal and cultural changes on adolescent behaviours and the health consequences as-sociated with risky practices. Furthermore, it identifies risk factors such as low socio-eco-nomic status and lack of family-environmental support.
