Summary/Abstract: This article presents a Kukeri’s custom practice„Carnival“ from the village of Turia, located in the Kazanlak region. This tradition includes man disguising and is following the spring customs right before Sirni Zagovezni. The masqueraded participants are givingtheir blessing with their magical dances under the rhythm and sounds of bells for healthier,graceful and agricultural year.
