Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to explore the opportunities of social media as part of the marketing strategies of arts organizations. The paper summarises the nature of social media, its application and current strategies for promoting the visual arts. Special attention is paid to digital content and the use of different formats on social platforms for the successful implementation of marketing strategies for the promotion of fine art. Different digital communities, social media, and different ways to market fine art are addressed.
