Summary/Abstract: In 1997, during a civil excavation, a Hellenistic amphora was accidentally found. The place of discovery is somewhere between the localities of Drăgăneşti-Olt and Dăneasa. In addition to being preserved in its entirety, the amphora from Dăneasa bears a stamp with incised Greek letters, with the producer's name Παιριφάνας.Most probably, the amphora from Dăneasa belongs to the production of the Pontic Heraclea center and can be dated to the 3rd century B.C.
